Qualitative Research
In the weekly PURCA meeting (Promoting Undergraduate
Research and Creative Activity), there was a guest speaker named Dr. Jamie Azios who talked about "The Basics of Qualitative Research". In this presentation, she discussed the similarities between experimental and qualitative research due to the common misconception that there are no numbers involved in qualitative research. I found this speech very intriguing due to the various ideas she had over conducting qualitative research, I noticed that the same process use to conduct qualitative research can be used in experimental research (which is what I am currently working on). As a whole, this presentation further my desire to continue conducting undergraduate research in the near future.
